George Kung was born on Mainland China and grew up in Taiwan with Mandarin as his first language. While he is fluent in English, he continues to read and speak in Mandarin. After over thirty years teaching at UW Stevens Point in the mathematics and computing department, George retired in 2001.  Since 1999, he has led groups of students, professors and others on China Cultural Trips.  George continues to read, travel and take pictures.
