Now retired from UW-Stevens Point, Roberto earned his B.A. and M.A. Indiana University and PhD. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Roberto has extensive teaching experience with 21 years at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, 8 years at the University of California, Davis and also taught Spanish for the Peace Corps at California State University, Los Angeles and Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana. In addition, Roberto published articles and book reviews on Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese Literature in different journals in United States and abroad. During retirement, he has continued to read and stay in touch with Latin American Literature. Roberto presently teaches a class of Continuing Spanish one day a week at the Lincoln Center in Stevens Point and travels extensively throughout Europe, the United States, Canada and Central and South America.
