This seminar offers training and assessment to incumbent production workers seeking to obtain the MSSC Safety in the Workplace Credential for Advanced Manufacturing. The seminar includes 12 hours of instructor-led training, three hours to complete the online assessment, MSSC Textbook, Safety Assessment online fee, one-time registration fee, and refreshments. These competencies are based on skill standards that are nationally recognized by Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) that includes:

• Identify unsafe conditions/take corrective action
• Perform environmental safety inspections
• Perform emergency safety drills and work in emergency teams
• Safe use of equipment and recognition of safety work practices
• Communicate safety, training and job specific needs
• Safety and effectiveness in work environment
• Safety orientation for other employees
